memorial for a brilliant woman

Friday, April 28, 2006

I'm off in about forty-five minutes for a church retreat at Shrinemont, the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia's home in the Appalachians- the place used to be a high-class hot springs for wealthy Washingtonians, fell into near ruin, and was purchased by the church. I have few responsibilities, just leading music, and so can rest, relax, and eat the fabulous food they serve.

The final three poems will be posted Sunday night, but written daily, as promised.

Have a great weekend, y'all!
