I will write weekly until something is done- this is ridiculous!
Dear Sir:
Once again I write to implore you to proceed with the appointment of a poet laureate for our state.
The information has been in your hands for more than a month (the suggested names provided by law from the Poetry Society of Virginia).
There is no money involved, but schedules and speaking engagements in schools and community groups need to be made.
Our previous laureate, Carolyn Foronda, has been retired from the position since July 1st and I,
a poet and your supporter hope that you will both recognize her for an exemplary job since 2006 and announce your new appointment.
Please, I implore you to act on this now!
